Young Adulthood
Change comes in a number of different forms.
It can include moving to a different city, starting your first job out of college, starting or ending a relationship, dealing with the loss of a loved one or navigating many other life changes that present themselves. Depending on the type of transition and how you cope with change in general, major life alterations can be a time of significant stress and anxiety.
Fortunately, there is an increase in recognition of the effect that transitioning into young adulthood has on young adults.
The crippling expectations and pressure that is placed upon us when navigating this transition, is anything but desirable. This stage can not only be anxiety producing, but it’s role is considered a significant personal growth period. This transition involves individuals undergoing a number of significant changes in their life. Unfortunately, not everyone has the support and guidance that is needed during this transition. Confidence and independence can be achieved through this difficult time by guidance and support.
